Fake. Regardless of the CG, one thing stands out: The camera wouldn't be able to track the meteor as it struck. Those things travel at miles per -second-..And they heat up to around 6000 degrees F upon entering the atmosphere. The overpressure from the shockwave and resulting fireball would have killed them instantly.

@senzfan76 I dunno exactly what sort of impact such a meteor might have but look at the way it came to rest, practically no crater. Completely ridiculous.
