It was probably subconscious, whenever you write music there isn't a program that cross references what you just wrote with everything you've ever heard. BTW, I wouldn't call that a "solo", it's more of a guitar interlude, or a bridge. A solo usually involves some degree of difficulty, and as you pointed out, that's the Full House theme.

I liked Green Day back in the early to mid 90's when they didn't take themselves too seriously and just wrote songs about beating off. Billie Joe Armstrong thinks he's Pete Townshend or something now. The only difference is Pete can actually write a good concept album while Billie Joe "I suddenly think I'm the second coming of Christ" Armstrong can't. Wipe off the mascara and write some good punk songs again Billie. Oh, and pull your head out of Bono's butt.
